Redefining Happily Ever After

Breakfast with Women's Empowerment Specialist Sandra Dubose

If you have experienced heartbreak as a result of a broken relationship, it can be a real blow to your self-esteem. You may feel stuck in a rut or challenged by the new dynamics of navigating dating again, becoming a single mom, or just feelings of loneliness or regret. Join Women's Empowerment Specialist Sandra Dubose in a candid conversation Saturday, Nov. 18 at 9 a.m. as she shares some tips and tools she is using to heal and embrace being single after her marriage of 21 years ended in divorce. The event is at VAE Raleigh, 309 W. Martin Street. The event is FREE. Just need to RSVP here or below.

In times like this, women of color must unite together and support one another through the hardships of relationships. If you are committed to creating a life that is happy and fulfilling — whether you are in a relationship or chose to leave one — this life-changing workshop is for you.

Grab your sister or friend and get a seat at the table for this special event. There will be a keynote presentation by Dubose, plus a Q&A. Dubose will also sign copies of her book,  "My Crown and Glory, it's NOT About the Hair: Six Fundamental Principles to Heal Emotional Wounds and Build Healthy Self Esteem." A light breakfast will be served. Space is limited; RSVP on here

This event is part of the programming schedule for "Black On Black V2."

About Sandra Dubose

Sandra Dubose is a dynamic motivational speaker, author and smooth jazz vocalist. She teaches others how to build healthy self-esteem through the practice of self-love and self-acceptance. She learned firsthand how to rebuild her own confidence after losing her hair at the age of 25 due to the autoimmune disease Alopecia Areata.

As a testament of her courage and star power as a vocalist, in March 2011 Dubose competed bald in a statewide beauty pageant. She made history when she was crowned 2011 Mrs. Black North Carolina, the first Bald Beauty Queen of the state. In her life-changing book, "My Crown and Glory, It's Not About the Hair," she shares her personal life lessons and six principles she used to shift her life from being a victim to living in victory.
